This is THE Top Gun Day for all budding aviators. First you fly in the Cessna training aircraft with your instructor, after take-off the instructor will climb away and offer the controls to you where you can try your hand at turns and climbs. After a break its non-stop as you slide into a K13 2-seat glider for your aero tow up to 2000 feet behind the tug plane. The tug will then release the towline giving you the opportunity to soar majestically through the air.
In this 2-seat dual control training glider your instructor will pass the controls over to you so you can experience silent flight prior to floating back down to the airfield for a smooth landing. It's then off to the Robinson R22 helicopters for the ultimate experience of flying forwards, backwards and sideways. All this flying is not as easy as you may think! A fantastic day of aviation. Beware, you may get hooked!
Whats Included
Included with the Top Gun Experience
- Pre-flight familiarisation and safety briefings.
- Introduction to the flying controls and principles of flight for all aircraft.
- A 30 minute flight in a Cessna 152.
- A 30 minute flight in a Robinson R22 helicopter.
- An aerotow flight in a K13 glider.
- Post flight debriefings.

Participants Requirements For the Top Gun Experience
- Flying experiences are subject to weight and height restrictions.
- Maximum height 6' 2", maximum weight 16 stone.
- All flying experiences are suitable for guests aged 12 years old and over.
Location and Availability of the Top Gun Experience
- High Wycombe (Buckinghamshire)
- Total flight time is approximately 75 minutes. Allow a half day at the airfield.
- Flying is available all year round.
PLEASE NOTE
- Flying is totally weather dependant, so inclement conditions or bad visibility will cause the postponement of your flight, but don't worry as it will be rescheduled as soon as is practical.
