Experience the breathtaking thrill of piloting a Honda Formula 4-stroke powerboat, similar to those raced in the most exciting off shore powerboat series in the world. You will change into the team powerboat racing kit and safety. During your one and a half hours on board, an expert driver will show you what the boat can do, and you'll have 15 minutes of hands-on driving time.
After your briefing, you will enjoy an exhilarating run out of Southampton Water, past Southampton Docks, before travelling at high speed into the Solent. Guaranteed to blow those cobwebs away!
Whats Included
Included with the Powerboat Racing Experience
- Full safety briefing and introduction to the boat and it's systems.
- Supply of team powerboat racing kit.
- Full training by experienced offshore powerboat drivers, usually past racing pilots.
- 15 minutes of actual driving of the Honda Formula 4-stroke Powerboat
- Debriefing and change back into normal clothing.
Additional Information
Participants Requirements for the Powerboat Racing Experience
- Minimum height 5'. Minimum age is 16 years old.
- You must be physically fit and able as it involves climbing in and out of the boat as well as moving around the boat.
- Please note this experience is not suitable for those with a serious back or heart complaint or for pregnant women.
- You must dress warmly, with non slip shoes.
- Waterproofs and safety equipment will be provided.
- Please bear in mind that there is a high wind-chill factor aboard a high speed boat. Take a change of clothes just as a precaution.
- You will share this experience with up to three other guests.
Location and Availability of the Powerboat Racing Experience
- Southampton Docks, Hampshire.
- Please allow a total of 1 1/2 hours for boating and briefings.
- Selected weekends from April through to October, with occasional weekday dates.
PLEASE NOTE
- Powerboating is a weather dependant activity and may have to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
