The Hummer H1 is essentially a Military Humvee under the skin with a few creature comforts added! The Humvee was specifically designed to meet the demands made by the US Military. The vehicle has power agility and durability like no other. This vehicle is awesome it has a 6.5 litre V8 diesel engine, full time full four wheel drive and fully locking differentials. It is 8ft wide and has an extremely low centre of gravity. This means it is incredibly stable and has fantastic off road ability. It boasts 16” inches of vertical ground clearance, it can wade through 30 inches of water and with the 37 inch tyres it has a 72 degree approach angle and 37.5 degree departure angle. Not content with this specification the Hummer is fitted with a central tyre inflation system so with the flick of a switch inside the cab you can change the levels of tyre grip and floatation over soft ground as you are going along!
This particular Hummer has a history of its own. It came from Kuwait and was used during the second Gulf War as a mobile satellite news gathering vehicle providing communications support for a major international broadcaster.

- After an initial eye opening demonstration by one of our Instructors you will take the wheel and experience first hand just what sort of terrain it is possible to negotiate.
- Steep hills, severe side slopes, large steps, mud and water and ditch crossing.
- This course is both informative and serious fun!

Participants Requirements for the Hummer Off Road Driving Experience
- Drivers must be at least seventeen (17) years of age and hold a full valid driving licence.
- A minimum of two people are required for this experience.
Location and Availability of the Hummer Off Road Driving Experience
- Canterbury (Kent)
- Each driver can expect approximately 45 minutes “Hands On” time behind the wheel.
- Courses are available on weekdays and at weekends throughout the year.
Spectators
- Spectators are welcome. A maximum of four spectators per participant are allowed. There are vantage points around the course from where spectators can view the driving activities. Spectators must comply with our safety instructions.
